H&M dress; Urban Outfitters vest; Chinese Laundry flats (c/o); OK1984 necklace; Kluster beaded bracelets (c/o); Forever 21 clutch; Calvin Klein sunglasses Friday is finally here, and I'm so excited for the weekend. I'm taking advantage of a slight chill this morning with my favorite sweater dress of the moment (scored for $10 at H&M), fool-proof flats, and stacks of bracelets. Right now I'm loving these bold beaded bracelets from Kluster because they add a little color to an otherwise neutral look. By this afternoon it'll be 80 degrees, and I've got my sights set on the beach. (Sorry to those of you reading this in freezing weather!) Wishing everyone a great Friday and an amazing weekend.

You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants.” Now I'm not one to argue with the master (and it's one of my favorite quotes), but sometimes a girl just needs a little breathing room. Lucky for me, my oh-so-favorite track pant silhouette is now available in every dressed up fabric out there, from silk to velvet to leather, and I love 'em all. Pair these comfy bottoms with heels to feel like less of a frump, and go for a layered look up top. I added an easy little blouse, a chic little sweatshirt (gasp!), and a few favorite silver jewels. (By the way, if you're looking for some of the best-cut basics around, check out Everlane's incredibly affordable selection.) And on another note, I'm in the running for yet another contest, and I'd really love your vote. The top 8 bloggers with the most votes will win a trip to Vegas to blog at WWD Magic, and I'd be thrilled to go. Voting only takes a second, and you can vote from your Facebook account once a day until January 24th. Thanks so much in advance, and hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo Shop It: Track Pants Today I'm rounding up a few things on my current wishlist, and they just so happen to come together for one easy look that I'd like to be wearing today. Because the search for the perfect faux leather legging is never quite over, I'm dying to try this simple, sleek pair from Sanctuary, and while on their site, I fell for this army shirt jacket (and a hundred other things). While I love dressing up leather leggings with a standout heel or bootie, I'm also a fan of tomboy-ing them up a bit with wedge sneakers. These come in three great colors, and they're half off - sold. An easy, taupe-y crossbody is seasonless, and I've been thinking about adding a little more rose gold to my (admittedly crowded) jewelry collection. I love how these delicate pieces balance out the toughness of the look. What's on your current wishlist? xoxo Get the Look! 1. Sanctuary Vegal Leather Legging $118

Living at the beach, it's easy to get into a "beach hair and flip flops everyday" kind of rut, so I'm focused on adding in more tailored and polished pieces into my routine. While I'd love to spend my time hopping from store to store searching for those new additions, sometimes it just doesn't fit into my schedule, so I'm grateful for sites like ShopStyle. ShopStyle allows you to search for exactly what you want from tons of brands and stores that you already know and trust. It puts everything in one easy-to-navigate place and can help you compare prices of items from one site to another. The site has been around for a while, but it's got a whole new look and feel and is now better than ever. Check out the video below, and take ShopStyle for a spin. One of my favorite seasons has arrived and is currently in full swing: Awards Season. This season, I'm teaming up with Diet Dr Pepper to bring you my One of a Kind Style picks from the Golden Globes, the Grammy's, and the Oscars. These three nights rarely disappoint in the fashion department, and last night's Golden Globes were no exception. Among my favorites? Kate Beckinsale (no shocker here), absolutely stunning in silver Zuhair Murad; Olivia Wilde, who showed off her baby bump in green Gucci; and Margot Robbie, radiant in white Gucci. (Good night for Gucci I'd say.) While the stars chose looks from designers across the board in every color imaginable, there was a definite trend of ladies in red. From Amy Adams' plunging Valentino to Lupita Nyong'o's caped Ralph Lauren to Julie Bowen's two-toned Carolina Herrera, last night's Golden Globes style was definitely red hot. And while my everyday life doesn't really call for gowns and Louboutins, it's always fun to take a little red carpet inspiration and apply it to my day to day wardrobe, and for today's look, I'm seeing red. Red is definitely not a color I usually gravitate towards, but there are a few random red pieces that I've picked up over the years. I scooped up this one from a sale rack at Urban Outfitters last year, and I love the cutouts and black contrast. It's so simple chic when paired with black heels or boots and a cozy cape. A messy mane and a red lip help finish off the look. xoxo Images via Zimbio With a delicious One of a Kind taste and zero calories, Diet Dr Pepper is as unique as you are. Sharing a few Instagram shots from the last couple of weeks. (Hope everyone is following along!) Happy Friday, and have a great weekend! xoxo H&M sweater and skirt; Zara vest; Nine West booties; Tory Burch bag; Kristin Perry necklace (c/o) VAULT; Ray-Ban aviators; NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick in Never Say Never This morning I woke up thinking about this lace skirt. I have no idea why, but I remembered it, realized I haven't worn it in a long while, and wanted to put it on. The fashion-obsessed brain is a funny place, people. I love delicate pieces like a lace skirt paired with something a bit more substantial, like this Zara vest (that I've worn, and worn, and worn again). Finish the look off with a dose of leopard (seriously love these booties) and a few pops of fuschia, and I'm one happy girl. Hope everyone is having a great week - hang in there, it's almost Friday!
xoxo Black Orchid jeans (c/o) VAULT; Equipment shirt; Forever 21 vest; Vera Wang boots via Marshall's; Clava clutch (c/o) VAULT; jewelry (c/o) Wantable Although Southern California seems to be stuck in this "high of 70 everyday" Twilight Zone, this morning was gloomy and just chilly enough for a little winter gear. (I'm not mad about missing out on the arctic freeze that has taken over the rest of the country, but sometimes I would like to actually get to wear my winter clothes.) I recently scored these Vera Wang boots on super sale at Marshall's, and I couldn't be happier. They fit like a glove and are comfortable for all-day wear. (Plus, they'll take the place of my old favorites that have been soled and resoled one too many times. Sigh.) Hope everyone is staying warm and having a great week! xoxo If you want to see a fashion blogger in her real-life Candyland, drop her in the middle of one of the biggest fashion trade shows put on by Women's Wear Daily, and hold that trade show in Vegas, just for good measure. If you're wondering what this babble is about, it's about WWDMAGIC, a fashion trade show where all your favorite boutiques and online stores shop the new, new, new from all your favorite brands. It's a sneak peek of the season to come and a head start on the next season's shopping wishlist. The list of brands and vendors that will be showing this February is seriously nuts, and although today's post was supposed to focus on just one of those brands, well, I had a hard time narrowing down. The above look features finds from brands that will be showing at MAGIC this season, and I could totally see myself wearing every. single. piece. There's really no pairing more effortlessly sleek than black skinnies of some sort with a tailored blouse, and I love the detailing on both from Nic + Zoe. Add a few gold jewels from Veronica M. and a taupe-y clutch by Nila Anthony for a little polish. Final touch? The shoes. Oh, these shoes. These boots are seriously screaming my name with their perfectly understated taupe suede. Yum. And while we're on the subject of shoes, I couldn't stop at just one pair. Below I've rounded up a few favorites from three brands showing at MAGIC this season: Seychelles, BC Footwear, and Chinese Laundry. I'm a huge fan of all three lines because you can find something so special and different at pretty affordable prices. Seychelles has mastered the art of the feminine, detailed heel, the perfect ladylike touch to any look. BC Footwear has the ideal stomping-around-town, low-key boots, and they're comfortable to boot. (Get it? To boot? Bad joke.) Last but not least, Chinese Laundry has a pretty good selection of just about everything, from boots to heels to flats, but I must say, their boots are a long-time fave. While I'm loving the picks in today's post, I seriously can't wait to see what everyone has in store for next season at MAGIC. xoxo Get the Look! 1. Nic + Zoe Ponte Zip Pocket Pant $144 2. Chinese Laundry Easy Does It Leather Flat $50 When I unwrapped this little white Free People dress on Christmas morning, it was love at first sight. I immediately wanted to put it on, but I didn't want it to feel too summery (even though it was 75 degrees out). For the spring and summer months, it's perfect alone with easy booties (absolutely love these DV booties that I picked up on Christmas Eve). For now, I like pairing the airy dress with a cozy cardigan, over-the-knee fringed boots, and a hat, just for good measure. With a few additions and accessories, you can take pretty much any dress from summer to winter. Although I've complained a little lately about our lack of cold weather, it is nice that with a few additions and accessories, I can take pretty much any summery dress into "winter", and what could be better than doubling your wardrobe? xoxo P.S. - Don't forget to enter the #OnMyWay2Fab giveaway!
