H&M sweater dress; Nine West booties (old); Olivia + Joy handbag; Ray-Ban sunglasses (On sale!); Baublebar necklace; Gorjana bracelets; Michael Kors watch Last week H&M launched its brand new Conscious Collection full of fashion-forward spring pieces in sustainable, eco-friendly fabrics. Over the weekend I had to go check it out for myself, and I was seriously impressed. I came home with three dresses, but I seriously could have done much worse damage. (These satin pants are still calling my name.) This lightweight sweater dress was a no-brainer for me, and it turned out to be just the thing for yesterday evening's weather here. I love the bold color (although it does highlight the fact that I could use a tan) and easy, oversized silhouette, and for a warmer night I'd definitely pair it with nude wedges for a totally different look. For now, leopard booties and a simple handbag did the trick. If you haven't yet, I'd definitely suggest checking out H&M's Conscious Collection. Hope everyone has a great week! xoxo

Athleta tank and pants (c/o); Old Navy jacket; BCBGeneration booties; Olivia + Joy handbag (c/o); Ray-Ban sunglasses When Athleta reached out about their new collection of City Pants, I knew they would probably become a new favorite, and since trying them on, I've pretty much been L-I-V-I-N in them. Slouchy, super soft things are my, well, thing, and these are just that. The whole idea is that these ultra-comfortable pants can take you from a workout to the streets, whether you're headed out to run errands or grab a bite with friends. I wore the latter look above out for sushi one night this week and have been lounging in the hoodie (another new favorite) pretty much all week. (Give me a break, I've been a little under the weather.) I'm sold on these pants, and if you're like me and enjoy a little comfort every now and then (crazy, I know), then they're definitely worth a try. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend! xoxo Cynthia Steffe dress via Marshalls (Love this printed version); H&M blazer; Sam Edelman heels (similar); Cynthia Rowley bag; Forever 21 necklace and belt; Ray-Ban sunglasses Day two of Lucky FABB was all about a networking brunch, and really, when surrounded by a couple hundred bloggers, editors, and brand representatives, there's pretty much nothing better than a brunch. Great food, a little booze, and an all out fashion show? Count me in. Joined by my fellow New Voices of Beauty, we got to chat beauty and our experiences so far working with Covergirl, Olay, Pantene, and Secret. Oh, and then there was the timewe got to chat up (and pose for pictures with) Eva Chen, Lucky Magazine's Editor-in-Chief and all-around girl crush. She oozes likability and strongly pushes her motto of "it's cool to be nice" at every Lucky FABB. A-OK in my book. I scored this dress about two days before the conference at Marshalls and was so pleasantly surprised at how well it fit me. (I swear, if you're not shopping at Marshalls, you're missing out on some great finds.) I thought the morning would be a bit chilly (and boy was I wrong), so I added my favorite-of-the-moment white blazer. A few neutral and metallic accessories rounded out the bright look. Who's excited for more spring fashion? (Raises hand.) Have a great rest of your week! xoxo My spring wishlist is currently all about pastels, and in particular, blush pink. I'm on the hunt for the perfect little pastel pink bag to tone down spring brights or add a subtle touch to an all white look. Above are a few favorites I've been eying, from shoulder bags and crossbody styles to satchels, totes, and clutches. Whether you're into won't-break-the-bank cheap thrills or a pricier investment piece, these blush bags are the perfect spring to summer companions. xoxo Shop the Look! 1. Wonder; Nordstrom ring; Ray-Ban sunglasses; Michael Kors watch This past weekend I attended Lucky FABB in Los Angeles, and per the usual, it did not disappoint. For day one I decided to mix things up a bit with a couple of spring prints, and I really love how the look turned out. The skirt and floral sweatshirt combo was really fun and comfortable, and I can't wait to pair these with other pieces in my wardrobe. I started out the day by getting my hair and makeup done by Beautiq, a really great Uber-esq app (launching soon in Orange County!) that sends hair and makeup artists right to you. For my hair and makeup, I decided to keep things pretty simple and wanted to keep the look pretty natural. The conference touched on a bit of everything, from SEO to social media to keeping up with the latest technology. We heard about Nicole Richie's new garden obsession and purple hair decision (inspired by her daughter), learned about Sophia Amoruso's inspiring start of Nasty Gal, and got an overall "please don't take yourself too seriously" kick in the ass from Coco Rocha, my surprising favorite of the day. In a room full of bloggers (and really weak WIFI), your phone is bound to die, but I was able to keep my sanity with this backup Mophie charger from Verizon. There were beauty tips (from P&G), a photo booth, and maybe a cocktail or two, but by far the best part of the conference was catching up with a few favorite blogger friends. I'm sad that it's over, but I'm also really excited for this amazing community that I'm lucky to be a part of. Hope everyone has a great Monday! xoxo In my handbag:

This time I'll be joining my fellow New Voices of Beauty bloggers and COVERGIRL, Olay Fresh Effects, Pantene, and Secret to take in the conference and then chat beauty and blogging on a panel during day two. While my outfit for day one is still in the works (no minute like the last minute), I've definitely begun setting aside my beauty essentials and a few fashion staples. I'm so, so excited to see old friends, meet a few new ones, and take in Lucky FABB #4. Who else is going? xoxo Disclosure: This post is sponsored by COVERGIRL, Olay Fresh Effects, Pantene, and Secret, but all opinions are my own. In a light or medium wash, they feel fresh, and my favorite way to wear them is with wedges (that stay pretty hidden) and an airy blouse. I picked up this pair recently at Nordstrom, and they've helped feed my Blank NYC addiction. They're a stretchy pull-on style and somehow maintain their shape throughout the day. I'm pretty much smitten. Add in this fun striped bag and a few silver jewels to finish off the look. Hope everyone is having a great week so far! xoxo |
