LOFT dress and jacket (c/o); Nine West Booties; Julie Vos necklace (c/o); d'Andrea bag (c/o); Claudia Lobao ring; L'Oreal Colour Riche Wet Shine Lip Stain in Endless Red For the second look in the "1 LOFT Blazer, 3 Ways" series, I was immediately drawn to this bold red dress. Red is definitely not my usual color of choice, but I love the slight coral tint and modest cut of this dress. And if you're gonna wear red, you might as well add a little leopard, right? The calf-hair booties and camel blazer (love the sleeves cuffed) kick this look into fall for a day to night, office to drinks, and anywhere in between easiness. Of the three looks I chose, this one is probably my favorite because it's a little out of my comfort zone but so good for my fall wardrobe. Have you checked out yesterday's post? Which look would you rather wear? xoxo P.S. - Stay tuned for Look #3! Disclosure: All LOFT clothing in this post was gifted, but all opinions are my own and 100% honest.

LOFT jeans, top, blazer, loafers (all c/o); Beirn bag; Vita Fede ring; Nars Velvet Matte Lipstick in Never Say Never If there's one thing my wardrobe is lacking, it's a few basic, tailored blazers that go with, well, everything. With fall just around the corner, I'm so excited to team up with LOFT for the next few days to show you how to wear one great blazer three different ways. Armed with a key blazer and a gift card, I hit LOFT like a buck-wild kid in a fabulous candy store. (Trust me, it was a nice little Saturday afternoon.) For the first look, I wanted something laidback and easy, perfect for a day of meetings and easily dressed up for night with heels. I figured I'd try on a couple of pairs of jeans and was shocked when EVERY. PAIR. FIT. These slightly distressed skinnies, in particular, have definitely landed in the favorites pile in my closet. They fit like a glove, and the denim is so soft - necessary in my book. (Next up on my list? These surprisingly flattering boyfriends.) The ivory top is cut perfectly for me and is lined to prevent the less-than-desired bra show-through effect. Bold (and super comfortable) loafers added the finishing touch for a look that can take me from day to dinner without hesitation. Oh, and about the blazer: it's a lightweight wool open-cut jacket in a camel color that easily works its way into any wardrobe. Pushed-back sleeves help with the casual vibe. Stay tuned for two more "blazered" LOFT looks that will have you (hopefully) counting down the days until fall. xoxo Disclosure: All LOFT clothing in this post was gifted, but all opinions are my own and 100% honest.
With the start of fall just a few weeks away, my mind is focused in on my autumn wardrobe. (Fall here is pretty warm, so lightweight knits and transition pieces are key.) This little ivory dress is fresh and fun for summer but can easily work its way into fall when paired with suede ankle boots, a printed scarf, and a great handbag. Round out the ladylike look with seafoam shades (love!) and touches of silver. How do you wear some of your summer pieces into the fall? xoxo Get the Look! 1. Topshop Origami Bow Flippy Dress $92

So hectic, in fact, that I completely forgot to discuss last week's huge news. (And if you haven't already heard, well... Did you fall down and smack your little head on the pavement?) H&M has joined us in 2013 and launched their online store in the US. (And small town America breathes a collective "finally" followed by a slightly more enthusiastic "yahoo!") It's not that I don't live about ten minutes away from not one but two H&M stores, but a girl's gotta have options. During the summer months I pretty much live in their floaty sleeveless blouses, and the denim is surprisingly better than its price tag may lead you to believe. Add a little polish to this otherwise tomboy-ish look with sleek heels and statement jewels. What's in your H&M online shopping cart? xoxo Get the Look! 1. H&M Skinny Low Jeans $30

It's a free event in the park (go figure) with live music and people picnicking everywhere you turn. With yummy appetizers, a little vino, and good friends (and maybe a little tree-climbing), it was the perfect way to round out the weekend. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
xoxo Hudson Jeans; The Limited tank; Jigsaw London cardi (c/o); JustFab bag (c/o); Nine West loafers; Ray-Ban sunglasses; by boe necklace So this is one of those magical cardigans that you can wear like 457 ways. I think the actual number is closer to maybe six or seven, but I'll probably stick with two because I'm a creature of habit and that's how creatures like me roll. Regardless of how it's worn, the real kicker here is the fabric yumminess (it's a word, go with it) and the perfect feather weight for summer. Paired with a striped tank and favorite skinnies (seriously, FAVORITE), it makes a sleepy schmoe look like she actually tried during a week that just seems to keep going. And going. And... Well it's Friday, kids, and it looks like we made it. So cheers to that, and happy Friday to everyone!
xoxo As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I've got my eye on everything ASTR these days, and I'm especially focused in on this showstopping mini. The cut and faux leather fabric make it completely night out appropriate, but it's equally appealing with a slouchy sweater and heeled ankle boots for daytime in the fall. For now, there's something so sexy and minimal about pairing it with a luxe white cashmere tank and adding navy leather extras. Silver accessories bring the whole look together for an all-out without trying too hard feel. Feel me? xoxo Get the Look! 1. Topshop Premium Cashmere Vest $40

Baublebar Silver Khaleesi Bracelet $28 Equipment blouse (sold out, but love this nude version); ASTR skirt (c/o Nordstrom); Matisse heels; D'Andrea bag (c/o); OK1984 necklace (c/o); Karen London bracelets (similar); Michael Kors watch; Ray-Ban sunglasses; L'Oreal Wet Shine Stain in Endless Red This skirt is one of those pieces that just screamed my name across the Savvy Department on a recent trip to Nordstrom, and now I want pretty much everything from this ASTR brand. (Seriously, check it out. It'll solve your what-to-wear-on-a-Friday-night dilemma in a second.) I love that it's so different from anything in my closet, and really, nothing seals the deal like a couple of well-placed pockets. Plus, I can't wait to wear it with sweaters and jackets and boots (oh my!) in the fall. I paired it with a favorite Equipment blouse (last seen here), which is probably one of the prettiest things I own. A go-to heel, little black bag, and gold chain accessories finished off the feminine look. Hope everyone is having a great week!
xoxo Although it's breezy and perfect for the hot days of summer, something about this look just drools pre-fall and has a certain hint of menswear inspiration. To get yourself into this fancy pants (er, shorts) look, tuck an easy blouse into a flowy, printed mini skirt, and add a chunky sandal and structured leather bag. Finish the whole shebang with a little bit of chain-and-sparkle and a low-key pair of shades. Anyone else getting the slight itch for fall fashion? xoxo Get the Look! 1. This past weekend was really one for the books. One for the seriously overfed, still in a food coma by Monday morning books. On Saturday, we celebrated a friend with a proper fiesta, complete with a carne asada cookout and a margarita or two, and yesterday we rounded out the weekend with brunch. I came across this jumpsuit (last seen here) while rummaging through my closet, and along with a pair of go-to sandals, it was an easy choice for yesterday's brunching. A fringe bag and minimal accessories (including my favorite nameplate necklace) finished off the look. How was everyone's weekend? xoxo P.S. - Head over to Gorjana and use code "MORE30" to take an additional 30% off the entire sale section (which currently includes my red wrap bracelet, above). |
