Dear Diary,
I'm currently a college student at the University of Michigan, and I just got these great combat boots I'd been wanting for a while.  They're Steve Madden "Troopa" style in natural leather.  Now that I've gotten them, I need some new ways to wear them!  As a college student, I'd like to get as much use out of them as I can: looks for going to class, for dates, for nights out, or for casual group studying at my favorite coffee shop.  Any inspiration you have on new ways to wear them would be appreciated!!

Combat boots are definitely a great fall investment that can transform so many outfits.  Balance their toughness by keeping the rest of your look ultra-soft and classic: buttery corduroys (in a great of-the-moment wine hue), a basic modal blend tee, plush faux fur, a blush colored handbag and easy gold accessories.  When pairing your new boots with shorts or a dress (see below), try lacing them about halfway up and folding the rest of the leather down.  Also, give your boots a new twist by pairing them with over-the-knee socks (either scrunched down or pulled all the way up for added warmth) in a dark hue.  Whatever you choose to wear with them, one thing is certain: boots like these will last season after season and only get better with time.

In the fall (or any other season really), there's something so simple and chic about dressing head to toe in shades of grey and black.  This Riller & Fount tunic is definitely one of my favorites and is a go-to when I'm in a rush.
