On the first day we had lunch in Santa Barbara, stopped for an impromptu roadside driving break in a tiny farm town and finally settled for the night at an oceanside inn in the beautiful and charming town of Cambria. (If you ever have the chance, a night or two in Cambria is SO worth the drive, and dinner at the Sea Chest Oyster Bar and Seafood Restaurant is an absolute must. We definitely plan on making the trip again in the future.) A favorite Riller & Fount LBD and wedge sneakers were the perfect comfortable-meets-chic car companions for the drive. All in all the weekend was amazing, but it is so nice to be home. Hope everyone had a great weekend! xoxo

The Bags. Wristlet: Henri Bendel (Similar); Messenger: Forever 21 The Shoes. Booties: H&M; Sneakers: Necessary Clothing; Heels: DV by Dolce Vita The Jewels. Well, some of them. Rings, Necklace, Bracelets: (c/o) Karen London; Watch: Michael Kors It may or may not be true that on occasion I've been known to overpack. Overpack by, well, a lot. But for my recent trip to New York, I managed to keep the suitcase situation slightly under control by sticking to a few tried and true staples in the accessories and beauty products department. (Minus jewelry. I'm not going to even lie about that part. It...Was...Everywhere. Above, a few Karen London pieces that I rarely leave home without.) Besides my go-to fringe throw-everything-in carry-on tote, a bold red messenger and ponyhair leopard clutch were the only two bags I needed for cocktail parties and shopping around the city. As for the shoes, comfortable booties were perfect for the conference; wedged sneakers were warm and comfortable enough for the flight; and lace-up gladiator heels fit the bill for a GLAM Media dinner I attended. What are currently some of your favorite accessories?
xoxo Create an unexpected look by pairing a simple red shift dress with tough military-inspired heels and a ponyhair and leather satchel. A great pair of corduroy skinnies in a warm autumn hue paired with a luxe tee and suede booties will be perfect for roaming around the city. A burgundy handbag and plaid scarf create a fun color palette, while neutral shades and unique gold jewelry completes the look. Time to pack! xoxo Get the Look!1. Light-as-a-feather lace shorts and an easy blouse helped to cool off the fall flats, and a metallic clutch and stacked mix-and-match jewelry completed the look. On a side note, thanks to the sporty neighbors in the background, I'm now convinced that I need to try out stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking... but I'm sure the feeling will pass. We enjoyed breakfast in SOHO with a few Lucky editors and our hosts Piperlime before heading out to Piperlime's brand new store followed by Aritzia, Topshop, Kate Spade and Calypso St. Barth to shop until I literally thought I might drop. (Extra special thanks to Piperlime and Aritzia for the generous gift cards and to Calypso for the perfect ending to our perfect day: a champagne toast.) Overall it's been an amazing three nights in New York meeting so many fabulous bloggers from around the country, but I couldn't be happier about heading home just in time for the weekend. Hope everyone had a great Fashion's Night Out and wishing you an even better weekend ahead.
xoxo Dress: Topshop; Booties: H&M; Bag: (c/o) Romwe; Bracelets and Rings: (c/o) Karen London; Watch: Michael Kors Yesterday was an amazing start to Lucky Magazine's Fashion and Beauty Blog (#LuckyFABB) Conference in New York. Despite a hot, humid and rainy start to the day, I managed to (somewhat) tame the frizz, smooth out the makeup and pat dry this surprisingly weather resistant dress. Inside we fueled up with unlimited caffeine and heard from the fashionable likes of Rachel Zoe, Leandra Medine (AKA The Man Repeller), Ana Sui, and the hilarious Simon Doonan, just to name a few. By the time I made it back to the hotel, the sun had come out just enough for a beautiful sunset view. So excited for Day #2 today of #LuckyFABB and hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo Shop the LookWhen I travel, I definitely rank comfort as my number one priority, but that doesn't mean I want to look like I rolled out of bed. Boyfriend jeans are a tried and true favorite for flying, and I love them paired with a loose little sweater and leather moccasins. A cozy infinity scarf helps me keep warm on a freezing plane, and a sturdy leather shopper holds all the essentials. Add a little polish with a menswear-inspired watch, oversized aviators and a sleek leather wrap bracelet. New York, here I come! xoxo Get the L0ok!1. Current/Elliott The Boyfriend Jeans $206

I'm off to Lucky's FABB Conference tomorrow in New York, and I'm so excited for Fashion's Night Out. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter (@mystylediaries) for updates and fun pictures from the conference. Above are a few favorite snaps from the end of summer. Hope everyone is having a relaxing Labor Day weekend!
