Forever 21 shorts (similar); Joe Fresh tank; CAbi jacket; H&M scarf; BCBGeneration booties; Ray-Ban sunglasses; Rebecca Minkoff bag; Michael Kors watch This year, Thanksgiving was a warm one to say the least. I don't know why this always surprises me - it's the same thing every year, but for some reason, when I think of the holidays, I think of celebrating them warm and toasty by a fire when the reality is more like warm and toasty in a pair of shorts. But anywho. We had an amazing day with family and friends, ate too much, fell deep into a food coma, and slept like babies. Today we're headed to Big Sur for the weekend, and I couldn't be more thankful for this crazy spontaneous life filled with so much love. Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving! xoxo

For those of you venturing out to stores this Black Friday, may the force be with you. Seriously, we all know it can get pretty crazy out there, so I was excited to receive this fun little "Black Friday Survival Kit" from Shopular just in time. (If you aren't familiar with Shopular, it's a great app that gives you great deals and coupons for your favorite retailers right on your phone. Download it to ensure you're getting the best Black Friday deals possible.) For a day spent on your feet, Foot Petals make even questionable heels a bit more bearable. The stress ball will come in handy as that overzealous shopper is breathing down your neck in line, as will the Vermints Cinnamon mints. No one is happy when they're hungry, so bring along the Quest Nutrition bar to satisfy your hunger on the go. Keep your mane under control with the Simbihaiti hair ties, and stop chapped lips with the Crazy Rumors lip balm. Once you escape the madness and return home, give yourself a little Cosmetic Boulevard coffee scrub down, and slip into these dreamy Dearfoam slippers to enjoy your Black Friday success. Happy shopping, everyone!
xoxo Metaphor sweater and skirt (c/o) Sears; Call It Spring heels (c/o); French Connection bag (c/o); Ray-Ban sunglasses; bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Risk It All Today I'm once again showing a little easy holiday style, and once again I'm featuring the newly re-launched Metaphor Collection from Sears. With easy mix-and-match separates, holiday dressing doesn't have to be high maintenance. This quilted and embellished sweater can go casual with jeans or dressed up with a flippy neutral mini skirt like this cream version. An oxblood heel, simple clutch, and bold lip complete the look for throw-on-and-go option when you're pressed for time. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography When it comes to holiday dressing, the options in my closet can get pretty old pretty quick, but I've got a couple black jumpsuits that always seem to pull me out of a jam. It may seem unlikely, but a black jumpsuit is definitely one of my go-to pieces for the holidays and anytime really. They're so versatile and pretty unexpected in a sea of LBD's and sparkly things. This season, I'm teaming up with Sears to bring you a little gift-giving and holiday style, and this jumpsuit is a total score from the recently re-launched Metaphor Collection from Sears. While it's on sale for less than $25, you really can't go wrong. Add a jeweled belt, heeled sandals, and statement clutch (also from Sears), and the look is instantly day-to-night sleek. (And bonus: in soft, slinky fabrics, they're as comfortable as they are on point.) If the upcoming holiday parties have you in a wardrobe rut, I'd definitely recommend jumpsuit-ing yourself, and no better place to start than Sears. xoxo It’s more than a gift. It’s the joy of the season.#MoreThanAGift Disclosure: Compensation was provided by Sears via Mode Media. Parties to plan and even more to attend. Outfits to coordinate and gifts to check off your list. Today I'm teaming up with H&M to bring you a little holiday fashion and a whole lot of gift giving for any fashionista on your list. When it comes to holiday dressing, a cocktail dress is always fun, but well-planned separates will give you much more mix-and-match potential and a lot more bang for your buck. I'm a big fan of pretty much leather anything, so when I saw these shorts, I planned my entire outfit around them. (If your weather doesn't really allow for shorts, layer them over fleece-lined tights, and add a big coat.) A lightweight blouse, heeled oxfords with over-the-knee socks, and a scarf helped create a party-friendly look that I could easily change up and wear again and again. A fur clutch and bold red lip added the finishing touch. Now that your outfit is planned, it's time to cross some names off of that list of yours. From stocking stuffers to splurge-worthy cashmere, below are a few of my favorite finds from H&M's holiday collection. Which pieces will you add to your wish list? Head over to H&M for great style and great gifts. xoxo 1. Rhinestone Earrings $5.95 2. Fleece Robe $34.95 3. Beaded Hairband $12.95 4. Short Sequined Top $34.95 5. Cashmere Cardigan $99.00 6. Faux Fur Clutch $39.95 7. 3-Pack Lipstick $6.95 8. Shimmer Powder $6.95 9. Leather Bag $79.95 10. Over-Knee Boots $59.95 Need more ideas? Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography Metaphor top (c/o) Sears; Dittos boyfriend jeans (c/o); Call It Spring heels (c/o); H&M clutch and necklace (similar); C.Wonder sunglasses The hunt for the perfect boyfriend jean is pretty much never-ending, but when these arrived from Dittos, I decided I was done for a while. They're an easy, slouchy, but not too baggy, fit, and I love all of the distressing. Paired with a flowy top and textured heels, these are perfect for running around town. Today is my 28th birthday, so I'm off to enjoy the day - hope everyone is having a great week!
xoxo Photos thanks to Kaela Rodehorst Photography H&M top; Laila Jayde suede sweats (c/o); Report booties (c/o) Alloy Apparel; Gigi New York clutch (c/o); Ray-Ban foldable sunglasses; Michael Kors watch; bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Risk It All I've said it before, but the dressed-up sweats trend is a train I will ride until the very end. Whoever decided that "comfort clothes" (as Eric refers to them) with heels and accessories is an OK thing is my hero and Anna Wintour's nightmare. (The devil does NOT wear sweats.) And then I found these, in the softest faux suede you ever will see. My day was officially made. They're ridiculously comfortable, and worn with a little something embellished up top, it's pretty solidified that you're not headed to the gym. Peep-toe booties, accessories, and a bold lip finish off the look. What do you think about non-workout sweats?
xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography SheInside dress (on sale!); Sam Edelman boots; Loeffler Randall clutch; Nordstrom hat; Ray-Ban sunglasses Is there anything better than a simple and slouchy t-shirt dress? I think not. And with long sleeves in the fall, it's definitely one of my go-to pieces. (And pssst! This one is currently on sale for $15.) Worn with short booties, it's comfy enough for running errands or sitting at my desk all day, but with over-the-knee boots and piled-on accessories, it makes the switch from day to night easily. During these first weeks of fall, I'm loving an all black break from summer's brights and looking forward to t-shirting my way into the weekend. Happy Friday, everyone! xoxo P.S. - Hope to see all my Orange County loves tomorrow night at No Rest for Bridget! When I first moved to Newport Beach, No Rest for Bridget was one of the first local boutiques I discovered, and I was immediately hooked. There's a little bit of everything there, from party dresses to staple tees and sweats, to a full range of great accessories. To top it all off, there's a location that's walkable from my house. Dangerous. This Saturday I'm so excited to team up with a few favorite bloggers for a fun shopping event at the store in Huntington Beach. There will be styling, shopping, drinks, food, music, and an all-around fun night. If you're in the Orange County area, I'd love for you to come by!
