Photos thanks to Kaela Rodehorst Diesel shorts (similar); BDG plaid shirt (here in green); Ecote poncho; Sam Edelman boots; Rebecca Minkoff bag; People by People sunglasses (c/o); H&M jewelry (similar) When it comes to outerwear, the poncho is the unofficial champion of girls like me who are perpetually living in warm weather. It's one of my go-to ways to look fall-ish without sweating to death. (Layering it over a plaid button-down and slapping on leather shorts and over-the-knee boots are however not encouraged when trying to keep cool. Just FYI.) These photos are finally making it up on the blog from last month's trip to Louisiana, and this day was a particular scorcher in New Orleans. But you know, when you pack your bags with "cool front" in mind, there's just no stopping the layers that will happen. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo P.S. - Don't forget to enter the Olay Regenerist Luminous Giveaway!

One beauty product that readers always ask about is an affordable eye cream that actually works. The undereye area is a concern for so many woman: from bags to sags, dark circles to thinning skin, there's a complaint for every age group. For my own eyes (sometimes puffy, sometimes incredibly tired-looking), I've recently discovered this eye concentrate from SkinOwl. It smells like cucumbers and feels like aloe to the touch, and once you put it on, it's so incredibly cooling and has a tightening effect I can actually feel. (And on a recent trip home, my mom couldn't get enough of it before bed as well.) It's safe for morning and night, can be applied under makeup, and can even work as an all-over face treatment. A little goes a long way, and it's amazing straight from the fridge. For me it's a little pricey at $46, but I definitely think it's worth a try if you've tried everything and just can't seem to find an eye cream you like. I'd love to hear: what eye creams and potions are you guys obsessed with?
xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography According to the calendar, fall is in full swing, but despite a few chilly mornings here lately, the days have still been pretty warm. So today is a little ode to resortwear (always a favorite of mine) and Kenna + Maxi, a beautiful new line of coverups and kaftans all made in Los Angeles. I can think of pretty much nothing I'd rather wear all day than a pretty, flowy kaftan that moves with every step or bit of wind. In less than a month I'll be heading to Hawaii for a friend's wedding, and I'm thinking this line has Hawaii written all over it. If you're heading someplace warm this winter, I'd definitely suggest taking a look at this line before packing your bags. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
