Dress via No Rest for Bridget; H&M blazer; Chinese Laundry flats (c/o) Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography It's no secret around here that I'm a huge fan of Gorjana and pretty much every ring, bracelet, and necklace they churn out. I've been collecting their pieces for a couple of years, and while a shiny new bauble is always exciting, it's the old favorites that I'm constantly layering in. It's that thought exactly that inspired Gorjana's current "Laws of Layering" campaign, and I couldn't agree more. Their pieces are my constant go-to's for layering, so I was thrilled when they asked me to be a part of it. Gorjana has come up with their own "Laws" (Choose a Hero; Dare to Mix; Multitask; Stack Up or Stack Out; and Pick a Theme) and asked for any of my own laws of layering. It was interesting to think about my own jewelry habits and figure out what my tried and true rules are. I managed to narrow it down to three: Go For Gold; Consider Proportion; and More Is More! Take a look above and on Gorjana's site to see my Laws of Layering plus those of a few fashion-obsessed others. When it comes to jewelry, how do you layer? xoxo

I'm on the hunt for the perfect little pastel pink bag to tone down spring brights or add a subtle touch to an all white look. Above are a few favorites I've been eying, from shoulder bags and crossbody styles to satchels, totes, and clutches. Whether you're into won't-break-the-bank cheap thrills or a pricier investment piece, these blush bags are the perfect spring to summer companions. xoxo Shop the Look! 1. Considering I went to the beach yesterday, I'm pretty sure the East Coast snow and temperatures in the teens will put my body into shock, so this week I'm rounding up all the warm weather gear I can get my hands on (and potentially fit into a suitcase). Of all the coats and accessories, I'm particularly drawn to anything in soft pastels or neutrals, and above are a few favorites. I love the thought of an all winter white look topped with a pastel coat and this statement handwarmer. (After all, every girl needs a faux fur, bambi-esque hand warmer, right?) Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo P.S. - Please vote for me in this WWD Magic Blogger contest - I'd love to attend! Shop These Pieces: 1. Topshop Textured Swing Coat $178

Living at the beach, it's easy to get into a "beach hair and flip flops everyday" kind of rut, so I'm focused on adding in more tailored and polished pieces into my routine. While I'd love to spend my time hopping from store to store searching for those new additions, sometimes it just doesn't fit into my schedule, so I'm grateful for sites like ShopStyle. ShopStyle allows you to search for exactly what you want from tons of brands and stores that you already know and trust. It puts everything in one easy-to-navigate place and can help you compare prices of items from one site to another. The site has been around for a while, but it's got a whole new look and feel and is now better than ever. Check out the video below, and take ShopStyle for a spin. Sign up for sale alerts, browse your favorite brands, and give your 2014 wardrobe a much-needed upgrade. We Search. We Find. We ShopStyle. xoxo If you want to see a fashion blogger in her real-life Candyland, drop her in the middle of one of the biggest fashion trade shows put on by Women's Wear Daily, and hold that trade show in Vegas, just for good measure. If you're wondering what this babble is about, it's about WWDMAGIC, a fashion trade show where all your favorite boutiques and online stores shop the new, new, new from all your favorite brands. It's a sneak peek of the season to come and a head start on the next season's shopping wishlist. The list of brands and vendors that will be showing this February is seriously nuts, and although today's post was supposed to focus on just one of those brands, well, I had a hard time narrowing down. The above look features finds from brands that will be showing at MAGIC this season, and I could totally see myself wearing every. single. piece. There's really no pairing more effortlessly sleek than black skinnies of some sort with a tailored blouse, and I love the detailing on both from Nic + Zoe. Add a few gold jewels from Veronica M. and a taupe-y clutch by Nila Anthony for a little polish. Final touch? The shoes. Oh, these shoes. These boots are seriously screaming my name with their perfectly understated taupe suede. Yum. And while we're on the subject of shoes, I couldn't stop at just one pair. Below I've rounded up a few favorites from three brands showing at MAGIC this season: Seychelles, BC Footwear, and Chinese Laundry. I'm a huge fan of all three lines because you can find something so special and different at pretty affordable prices. Seychelles has mastered the art of the feminine, detailed heel, the perfect ladylike touch to any look. BC Footwear has the ideal stomping-around-town, low-key boots, and they're comfortable to boot. (Get it? To boot? Bad joke.) Last but not least, Chinese Laundry has a pretty good selection of just about everything, from boots to heels to flats, but I must say, their boots are a long-time fave. While I'm loving the picks in today's post, I seriously can't wait to see what everyone has in store for next season at MAGIC. xoxo Get the Look! 1. Nic + Zoe Ponte Zip Pocket Pant $144 2. Chinese Laundry Easy Does It Leather Flat $50 It's no secret that I've got a thing for accessories. Jewels and gems, scarves, sunglasses, and hats, I love them all. For me there's no better way to top off an outfit than with an accessory or five. That said, I'm pretty excited to team up with Wantable as their accessories expert for January. (Expert. Has a nice little ring to it, no?) If you're not familiar with Wantable, it's time to get in the know. Wantable is a subscription-based or one-time box of goodies in three different categories: makeup, accessories, and intimates. Once you choose your category (accessories for me, although I've tried out the makeup box as well and found a couple of new favorites for my beauty routine), you answer a series of short questions so that the in-house stylists get a feel for your preferences. The questions are quick and painless, and they help to make sure that your box contains your favorites. For me, I love scarves and statement jewelry, but I can't wear earrings and don't really like oversized sunglasses on my face. My Wantable box will never contain the items that I don't want, and they'll always include something that I really like.
Overall I'm super impressed with the site and the selection of goodies I've received so far. My first box contained the yummiest infinity scarf (above) that is just perfect for the holidays, a pair of sunglasses that I love, and a fun mixed-metals necklace. If you're looking to amp up your accessories collection for the new year or maybe just searching for that last minute gift, a subscription to Wantable may be just the thing. Check out the site, and take the quiz - a world of new accessories are just a few clicks away. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas Eve! xoxo Well, it's December 12th, and how's your holiday shopping going? I'm pretty much finished shopping for the boyfriend (the hardest person to buy for usually), and now there's just everyone else. Great. The good part is that it's mostly girls left on my list, and girls are always easier to shop for. The bad part is that it's mostly girls left on my list, and shopping for the girls in my life ultimately leads to shopping for myself. (Sad but true.) In any case, I've found that you can't go wrong with a little something sparkly, a sweet pair of shoes, a luxe bath product, or something that's just plain cute, so that's what I've rounded up from VAULT. Over the past three months I've partnered with VAULT to show you some of my favorite brands and pieces from the site, and when it comes to holiday gifts, the possibilities are endless. In one quick swoop, you can grab gifts for him, gifts for her, goodies for the kids, and stocking stuffers for everyone, all with free shipping. Today I focused only on the ladies on your list and mainly took a spin through the accessories department because let's face it, I have an accessories problem. Whether she's bohemian (go with the fringe or beaded necklaces), sporty (the kicks), classic (love rings, leather bag or origami earrings), or all-out glam (the jeweled cuff, which is a super steal, by the way), there's something here for everyone on your list. (Even that co-worker in the office gift exchange or the husband's boss's wife or anyone in between.) Anyway, whether you're just getting started or heading for the finish line with your holiday shopping, VAULT is an easy spot to shop. And if you're looking for more ideas, head over tothe VAULT blog to find posts from other bloggers you'll love. Happy shopping! xoxo Shop These Gifts! 1. Gillian Steinhardt Origami Earring $165 2. Walter Baker dress via T.J.Maxx (similar); Antonio Melani heels; The Limited belt; vintage clutch; Nars Velvet Matte Lipstick in Dragon Girl If your upcoming weeks are packed with cocktail this and gift exchange that and every like soiree in between, it can be a little stressful coming up with enough party-perfect looks. The best way to keep your sanity without blowing your budget is to focus on dressed-up accessories. I picked up this sparkly little belt at The Limited recently, and it has completely changed my holiday wardrobe. It adds an extra special touch to even the simplest LBD, and suddenly anything in my closet can be holiday-ready in a snap. For a little cocktail party recently, I layered the belt over this little purple Walter Baker number (super duper score at T.J.Maxx) and added a subtle leopard heel. Insta-party. Hope everyone is having a great week!
