DL1961 jeans (via Pose); Urban Outfitters tank (old); H&M jacket; Gap necklace; Matisse heels; Rebecca Minkoff bag (similar); C. Wonder sunglasses; Boera ring Well this week June Gloom arrived in Southern California. (If you're not familiar, every June where I live is pretty much entirely overcast, foggy, and generally gloomy.) It takes some getting used to, and I always find my style a bit "seasonally confused". It consists of a lot of jeans, and these skinnies (that I picked up at a Pose event last week) are definitely my new favorites. They're the new InstaSculpt denim from DL 1961, and they fit like a super comfy glove. There's no need to keep pulling them up all day, and they don't become baggy or saggy after a full day. (Obviously, that's a win.) Last night for dinner I added a favorite fringed tank, heels, and a studded jacket. The all-black may be a bit dark for summer, but hey, it is June Gloom after all. Hope everyone is having a great week!

In general I'm a huge fan of wide leg pants like these, and when you slap a bold summer kaleidoscope print on them, well then there's just no saying no. These were originally part of a halter jumpsuit from Swell.com (which has sadly sold out), and although I love a good jumpsuit, I just couldn't help snipping these into separates. Paired with a white tee and oversized denim vest, they make for an easy summer look finished with staple accessories. Hope everyone is having a great week!
xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography Hudson jeans; Forever 21 blouse; Johnny Was scarf; DV Dolce Vita sandals; Kate Spade Saturday bag (sold out, butlove this version); Zero UV sunglasses; Alex & Ani bangles This little striped blouse is one Forever 21 purchase that I've worn to pieces. (See it here, here, and here.) This time I'm pairing it with a new favorite pair of skinnies and a fun, tasseled scarf, both of which I scored at Super Saturday recently. Johnny Was scarves are such a great way to add a little pop to any outfit, and I love how it ties in with the muted pink bucket bag. This bag has been going everywhere with me lately because it's the perfect little weekend or weekday errand size. I finished the look off with aviators and sandals for an easy and laidback summer look. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Yesterday got up to 99 degrees, and this little un-air-conditioned beach house of ours was sweltering. It's the kind of days where nothing else will do besides an ultra-thin, airy blouse and beyond comfortable cut-offs. This CAbi blouse is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, and the shorts have been in constant rotation lately. A pair of this season's see-them-everywhere gladiator sandals and stacked jewelry add a little fun to the basic look. I finished things off with messy, textured hair (using this spray from Kerastase) because nothing says crazy like a blow dryer in a heat wave. Hope everyone is staying cool this week! xoxo Free People shorts; Old Navy blouse; Vintage blazer; Chinese Laundry flats (c/o); Tory Burch handbag (on sale!); Ray-Ban sunglasses; Julie Vos bracelet Last week while visiting my parents in Mississippi, my mom and I snuck off and spent the afternoon in Ocean Springs. I had never been before, but it was the cutest little town with tons of boutique shopping and adorable restaurants and coffee shops. The morning was a little chilly, so I originally headed out in jeans and a black blouse (that I picked up at Old Navy for $10 the day before - score!). As we shopped the day definitely warmed up, so I was excited when I came across these little Free People cut-offs at Pout, an adorable bohemian boutique. They're called the "Sharkbite" shorts, and I just had to wear them out of the store. Next stop was Browse Myrtle's House which was packed with really great vintage finds. Although another blazer was definitely not on my shopping list, this one fit too well to pass up, and I can't resist a black and navy combo. The shopping day was a success, and I'd definitely recommend a stop in Ocean Springs if you're ever in the Biloxi, Mississippi area. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo P.S. - Don't forget to enter the C.Wonder $500 giveaway from Coupons.com! I absolutely love this little textured jacket from CAbi, and I can already tell that the blouse will be a favorite for seasons to come. The flares are a recent release from Dittos, and the denim is just the softest. I topped it all off with a contrasting handbag, a few silver jewels, and sunglasses borrowed from the boyfriend. Hope everyone had a great weekend! xoxo Photos thanks to Hadasa Dittos jeans (c/o); Forever 21 shirt (similar); Nasty Gal blazer; Joe's heels; Olivia + Joy bag; Zero UV sunglasses (c/o); Gorjana bracelet and ring (c/o); Michael Kors watch I've got a thing lately for blazers. I also, along with about a million other ladies in the blogging community, have a thing for wearing them draped over my shoulders like some sort of cape, so you can probably imagine my excitement when I came across this hybrid cape-blazer while browsing Nasty Gal. Sticking with my recent habit of bold colors, I ordered it in red and am loving it paired with a simple blouse and skinny jeans. (For summer, I'm thinking white skinnies and a chambray shirt, but we'll save that for later.) These skinnies were my first time trying out Dittos jeans, and I must say, I'm a definite fan. I've worn these three to four times with no stretched-out, sagging rear, and really, what more could you want? My staple leather messenger and go-to heels finished off the look. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography Blank NYC jeans; H&M blouse; Free Endearment bag (c/o); BCBGeneration wedges; Zara necklace; Vanessa Mooney and Boera rings; Caravelle watch; Forever 21 bangles Throughout the year I go through denim phases where I'm partial to one fit or another, and during spring, I usually gravitate towards flares. In a light or medium wash, they feel fresh, and my favorite way to wear them is with wedges (that stay pretty hidden) and an airy blouse. I picked up this pair recently at Nordstrom, and they've helped feed my Blank NYC addiction. They're a stretchy pull-on style and somehow maintain their shape throughout the day. I'm pretty much smitten. Add in this fun striped bag and a few silver jewels to finish off the look. Hope everyone is having a great week so far! xoxo Every now and then a clothing line will really catch my eye, and right now, [BLANK NYC] has my attention. I've known about the brand for a while now, but have only recently begun exploring every fit and wash that I find. (Back in my denim PR days, I made it my business to know every competitor brand, but it certainly wasn't a normal practice to wear them.) In the pairs that I own, I've found that the fit and quality are definitely worth the more-than-reasonable price point. (Most styles retail under $100.) I started off with this vegan leather pair of skinnies that I wore. to. death. Then during fashion week I stopped into the Piperlime store and picked up these dark, clean skinnies. I'm in love with the color, and they've definitely become my go-to pair of skinnies. Earlier this week I scooped up these pull-on flares from Nordstrom, and I'm in love. They're so comfortable and flattering and just so happened to be the perfect length for me (the benefits of being tall). Now, I've started checking out their spring collection, and it's dangerous. I'm loving anything ripped and distressed and all of the vegan leather. If you haven't already, I'd definitely suggest taking a peek at the looks above. What are some of your go-to denim brands? xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography AG Jeans (c/o); Old Navy shirt; H&M jacket; Cocorose London flats (c/o); Olivia + Joy handbag (c/o); Michael Kors watch; Gorjana rings I don't do the denim on denim thing very often, but occasionally a gloomy day calls for a little Canadian tuxedo action. Break up the mixed blues with a stark white blazer and a contrasting handbag, and finish it all off with a pair of comfy leopard flats. These calfhair flats fold into their own little bag and are perfect for traveling or just those days when you could use a break from heels. I stashed these in my bag during Fashion Week, and they definitely came in handy more than a few times. This week I'm excited to team up with Cocorose London to give one lucky reader a pair of their own. Available in a ton of varieties and colors, there's definitely a shoe for every style. Enter below using the Giveaway Tools app, and cross your fingers (and toes!) - your feet will thank you! Good luck! xoxo **Update: Congratulations to the winner of the Cocorose London Giveaway: Zoe Moneteleone! Thanks so much to everyone who entered, and stay tuned for more great giveaways!
