After navigating spring's hottest trends with T.J.Maxx a few months ago (and fueling a serious T.J. shopping habit in the process), I'm so excited to team up with them again to explore a few of fall's best finds.  For this week's style challenge, we were asked to choose one key piece for fall and style it three different ways.  I headed out shopping with an open mind, but I knew immediately when I found this blouse that this was the piece.  To me, there's nothing more versatile than a neutral silk blouse, and this one is absolutely yummy.  It's one of those amazing silk pieces that works now and will be in my closet forever.

For the first look, I paired it with one of fall's hottest trends (and a personal favorite) - slouchy pants.  With bold heels, it's office-friendly but works for after hours too.  For a more relaxed feel, comfy skinny jeans and loafers are the perfect pairings for taking a silk blouse out for a weekend spin.  It's a great throw-on-and-go luxe kind of thing, no?  And finally, for a night out, tuck the top into a fringed leather skirt and add a statement clutch. (How good is this clutch?  Definitely a sweet find.)  If you're looking to pick up a few fall must-haves, T.J.Maxx is a one-stop shop for those pieces you've been eying.

Oh, and on my way out, I stopped by the beauty department and finally got my hands on a clip-less curling iron that I've been wanting to try.  I need a little practice, but I'm really digging the wind-blown beach waves effect of my first try.  I also grabbed a couple of bottles of my favorite dry shampoo, a necessity for those of us with toddler hair.  Trust me, the beauty section was packed with brands I didn't expect to find there, and I may or may not have gone a little nuts.  But what good is the perfect fall outfit without a little hair and makeup to match?

Top via No Rest for Bridget; ASTR skirt (c/o) Nordstrom; LOFT heels (c/o); Forever 21 clutch and belt; Henri Bendel bracelet
In today's second peplum-ed look (check out yesterday's version here), I layered the flared top over a swingy leather skirt (last seen here) for a fun and flirty feminine feel.  A contrast skinny belt gives an extra pop of color, and an ankle-strapped take of fall's mid-heel adds a little polish.  Top the whole thing off with a sleek clutch, black shades, and a hot pink lip.  Stay tuned for the third and final look tomorrow!  (Which just so happens to be Friday.  Hang in there, kids, it's almost here.)

Top via No Rest For Bridget; LOFT jeans (c/o); BCBG scarf (c/o); Zara heels; Vita Fede bangles (old); Michael Kors watch; Ray-Ban sunglasses; Louis Vuitton Verona bag
This easy peplum top is one of those key summer basics that goes with so many pieces in my closet, so I figured I'd style it three ways over the next three days.  For today's look, I paired the top with my go-to skinnies (seriously living in these LOFT jeans lately), a printed scarf, and sleek heels for a dressed-up day to night feel.  It's pulled-together without trying too hard, and for a day of errands, comfortable flats are a great alternative.  Oh, and you may notice a new accessory.  Eric surprised me with a new handbag, completely out of the blue.  It is now my first child, and I sleep with it under my pillow every night.  Just kidding.  But it's a thought.  Stay tuned this week for two more ways to style that peplum top in your closet.  If you don't have one already, below are a few options, and bonus, most of them are on sale.

LOFT skirt, blazer, tee (all c/o); Gap clutch; Nine West heels; Julie Vos bracelet; Gorjana ring; OK1984 necklace
In today's final look with this fall-perfect LOFT blazer, I went with a dressed up, office-appropriate look.  I love the geometric pattern and slight metallic sheen of the skirt, and paired with a sleek tee and camel jacket, it's an easy way to kick up your work wardrobe for fall.  By the way, if new work threads are on your shopping list, the LOFT has you covered from head to toe.  And speaking of toes (the sweet segues just keep coming), I've had my eye on these ankle-strapped kicks and finally decided to scoop them up during this weekend's LOFT friends and family sale.  Now that I've posted all three looks in this "1 LOFT Blazer, 3 Ways" series (Look #1, Look #2), how would you wear this staple fall blazer?

For the second look in the "1 LOFT Blazer, 3 Ways" series, I was immediately drawn to this bold red dress.  Red is definitely not my usual color of choice, but I love the slight coral tint and modest cut of this dress.  And if you're gonna wear red, you might as well add a little leopard, right?  The calf-hair booties and camel blazer (love the sleeves cuffed) kick this look into fall for a day to night, office to drinks, and anywhere in between easiness.  Of the three looks I chose, this one is probably my favorite because it's a little out of my comfort zone but so good for my fall wardrobe.  Have you checked out yesterday's post?  Which look would you rather wear?

LOFT jeans, top, blazer, loafers (all c/o); Beirn bag; Vita Fede ring; Nars Velvet Matte Lipstick in Never Say Never
If there's one thing my wardrobe is lacking, it's a few basic, tailored blazers that go with, well, everything.  With fall just around the corner, I'm so excited to team up with LOFT for the next few days to show you how to wear one great blazer three different ways.  Armed with a key blazer and a gift card, I hit LOFT like a buck-wild kid in a fabulous candy store.  (Trust me, it was a nice little Saturday afternoon.)  For the first look, I wanted something laidback and easy, perfect for a day of meetings and easily dressed up for night with heels.  I figured I'd try on a couple of pairs of jeans and was shocked when EVERY. PAIR. FIT.  These slightly distressed skinnies, in particular, have definitely landed in the favorites pile in my closet.  They fit like a glove, and the denim is so soft - necessary in my book.  (Next up on my list?  These surprisingly flattering boyfriends.)  The ivory top is cut perfectly for me and is lined to prevent the less-than-desired bra show-through effect.  Bold (and super comfortable) loafers added the finishing touch for a look that can take me from day to dinner without hesitation.  Oh, and about the blazer: it's a lightweight wool open-cut jacket in a camel color that easily works its way into any wardrobe.  Pushed-back sleeves help with the casual vibe.  Stay tuned for two more "blazered" LOFT looks that will have you (hopefully) counting down the days until fall.

One Striped Blazer, Two Ways

If the middle of the week has your nine to five uniform feeling a little drab, give it a kick in the mouth with a little sporty spice.  A basic colorblocked pencil dress gets an instant update with a striped cotton blazer.  (Black and white is a huge trend for spring, and this blazer is so on point.)  Add peep-toe, ankle strap heels and a chunky menswear-inspired watch (by, gasp, Karl Lagerfeld!), and finish the look with unisex sunnies, an oversized clutch and a little bit of bling.  The bonus?  Every piece here will be an absolute wardrobe asset all spring and summer long.  Pair the blazer with a peplum tank and black skinnies - love the front zipper detailing on the Hudson pair below.  Throw on a statement necklace and ring and a bold handbag, and you're ready for a day of meetings or a night on the town.

Boyfriend Jeans: Relaxed vs. Polished

Let's be real: who doesn't love to bypass their closet's stacks of tight-ass skinny jeans in favor of perfectly worn-in boyfriend jeans from time to time?  Sometimes, this girl just can't resist.  For a relaxed (not sloppy) weekend look, pair the comfortable denim with a colorblocked silk tee, bright flats and an oversized suede handbag.  Or, for a more dressed up feel, a fitted peplum jacket and leopard heels add polish and create an unexpected silhouette.  For both looks, aviators and sleek gold jewelry are the perfect finishing touches.  So, which would you prefer: relaxed or polished?  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

1 Chambray Shirt, 2 Ways

Whether paired with a neutral maxi skirt, sandals and a cute fedora for a bohemian vibe (like the look above) or balancing out raspberry skinny jeans and cutout booties for an edgy feel (see below, a continuation of Wednesday's post), a lightweight chambray shirt is a great addition to any spring wardrobe.  Try this simple and sweet version from Wallis loosely tucked into white jeans for a preppy spring look, or wear it with denim cut-offs for a fresh, bold approach.  Dressed up or staying casual, this is one closet staple you won't regret.
