Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography According to the calendar, fall is in full swing, but despite a few chilly mornings here lately, the days have still been pretty warm. So today is a little ode to resortwear (always a favorite of mine) and Kenna + Maxi, a beautiful new line of coverups and kaftans all made in Los Angeles. I can think of pretty much nothing I'd rather wear all day than a pretty, flowy kaftan that moves with every step or bit of wind. In less than a month I'll be heading to Hawaii for a friend's wedding, and I'm thinking this line has Hawaii written all over it. If you're heading someplace warm this winter, I'd definitely suggest taking a look at this line before packing your bags. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

This romper arrived in the middle of a heatwave, and I couldn't have been more excited. It's the perfect little lightweight, throw-on-and-go piece that will get you through the hottest days, and paired with a cardigan, it's ideal for cool nights. Bohemian accessories finished the look. Hope everyone's short week is off to a great start!

On those days the only thing that matters when getting dressed is beating the heat, and this look does it pretty well. The oversized tunic from Riller & Fount is so lightweight and airy, and paired with these easy embroidered shorts, it's a heat wave no-brainer. Flat sandals and layered jewelry tie it all together. Hope everyone has an amazing Labor Day weekend!

(Seriously, remember this Rebecca Valance collection from February's NYFW? Still drooling over these.) I recently discovered TALULAH, and it's no exception to that rule. The collections are filled with adorable day dresses, easy shorts, and perfect-for-a-night-out looks. There's a definite island vibe going on in the flowy fabrics and standout prints, and the cuts have such a sultry feel. I loved the dressed-up or down appeal of this maxi above, and the chevron pattern of the sequins is so fun. Paired with gladiator sandals and a bold handbag, it's a great alternative to that LBD to soak up these last days of summer. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo In the summertime, I'm such a sucker for anything lightweight and flowy, particularly things that pair well with a swimsuit, and this Theodora & Callum caftan is right up my alley. As creators of some of my favorite scarves, Theodora & Callum has the easy breezy thing down, but their bold colors and prints are what I love the most. They really do make such a statement, and I know this caftan will be a definite go-to during so many weekends (and summers) to come. Hope everyone had a great weekend! xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography H&M shorts; Joe Fresh tank (similar); Trouve jacket; River Island bag (c/o); Lulu's heels (c/o) (love this leopard version); Ray-Ban sunglasses Happy Friday, lovelies! Looks like we finally made it to the weekend, and there's no better way to celebrate than by getting a little gussied up and heading out with friends. This is pretty much my ideal night out look: dressed up track shorts, an easy tee and optional blazer, barely there heels, and a beyond fun bag. I can't get enough of this little feather bag - so very Cher Horowitz, and what's not to love a little about that? Here's hoping everyone has an amazing weekend! xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography H&M shirt (similar); Zara shorts (similar); Matisse heels; Rebecca Minkoff bag (c/o) Paula & Chlo; Forever 21 sunglasses and necklace; Marc by Marc Jacobs belt Recently while rearranging my clothing rack, this shirt (last seen here) and these shorts (see them here) ended up side by side. Right now I'm all about matching separates, and although these stripes weren't technically meant for each other, I love how they came together. Tucked in and accented with a belt, the two look like an easy romper. A favorite handbag and bold necklace add a couple pops of color. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography Old Navy shirt; Dittos jeans; Joelle Hawkens handbag (c/o); Heels (c/o) Lulu's; Forever 21 necklace; Caravelle by Bulova watch (on sale!); Calvin Klein sunglasses TheAugust issues of all of my favorite magazines were filled with denim, and I couldn't get enough. Skinny, straight, boyfriend, wide leg, or in dresses, skirts and jackets, I love it all. Inspired by the glossies, I definitely plan to work a little more denim on denim into my fall repertoire. By choosing different washes (and in this case chambray) and keeping the rest of the look monochromatic, today's outfit is an easy update on classic staples. I love how the strappy sandals dress up the otherwise casual feel, and the pastel bag is a definite new favorite carryall. What are some of your favorite denim styles for fall? xoxo Equipment blouse; H&M shorts; JustFab sandals; Tory Burch bag; Bracelets: Alex & Ani, Michael Kors, Gorjana; Ray-Ban sunglasses Last weekend we started off our Sunday with a drive to Laguna Beach for breakfast. It was a pretty warm morning, so breezy shorts and a lightweight blouse were the perfect combo. I really can't resist pretty track shorts and scooped these up recently from H&M for about 10 bucks. Gladiator sandals and a bold handbag finished off the look for the perfect weekend feel. Happy Friday, everyone! xoxo Free People shorts; Max Studio tee via T.J.Maxx (similar); Old Navy vest; Steve Madden flats; Tory Burch bag; Kristin Perry necklace (c/o) 9th & Elm; Ray-Ban sunglasses Are you guys sick of these Free People shorts yet? By now I've worn them about 100 times, but I can't help myself. On the warmest days they're all I ever want to wear. Today I'm remixing the vest from Monday's post with an old favorite tee and my trusty cutoffs for an easy, slightly nautical feel. These gold flats were kind of an impulse buy in San Francisco, but I've since worn them a ton. They're SO comfortable and pretty much go with anything. I finished off the look with a bit of color: a bold Tory Burch bag and a new turquoise statement piece from 9th & Elm, a really cool site for handmade and independent designers that you might not find elsewhere. I have a couple pieces from Kristin Perry, but this necklace was definitely a score on 9th & Elm. I wore this look for a Friday afternoon bike ride and happy hour and really am in love with every piece. What are some of your go-to items in your closet? xoxo |
