I'm a freelance music journalist in LA, and this weekend I'll be filming on-camera interviews with bands at a music festival. Do you have any suggestions for something that looks great on camera AND would be comfortable to wear all afternoon and into the evening? At South by Southwest this year I went with navy linen capris, a charcoal gray racerback tank, and turquoise jewelry: practical, but boring. I'd love to hear your suggestions and of course, report back with what I ended up wearing!

Sounds like a pretty cool job! Outfits for music festivals (or any occasion with little to no rules in dressing) are our absolute favorites, but dressing for an on-camera interview can be tricky. If you're going to wear a print, try to keep the pattern large and worn away from your face (like the skirt above for instance). This loose-fitting tank will drape effortlessly over the skirt and support the laidback, music festival vibe. An easy peachy boyfriend blazer ties the look together but can easily be removed if you get too warm off-camera. Opt for jewelry that will stay in place during interviews (hence, none of our beloved bangles) and studded flat booties that won't slow you down. Not really feeling the look above? Below are a couple of previous posts that we feel could be great for this weekend.

Here's hoping you enjoy the festival, and we can't wait to see pictures of the look you choose!
