For Valentine's Day (or any day really) nothing stands out like a body-conscious little red number, and this long-sleeved, twisted front version is especially chic. Keep the look classy (not cheesy) with tough accessories and platform ankle booties. Add a chain-strapped handbag, and you're ready for wherever the night takes you, whether it's a special date night or a fun and festive Girls' Night Out. xoxo

For one of those date nights when you have "nothing to wear", there's no better shortcut to an understated sexy look than with dark wash, second-skin jeggings paired with nude platform pumps. Play with mixed neutrals with a silky racerback and a lightweight leather jacket for the chilly night air. Add a pop of color with this bright green foldover clutch and cocktail ring, and finish the look with a simple, blush bangle. xoxo Get the Look! There are certain wardrobe weaknesses that I am constantly unable to resist: leather (or rather, pleather) leggings, loose t-shirts, fringe, comfortable boots and booties, almost any kind of jewelry (an obsession really) and any type of oversized, cocoon-like cardigans (the best of which I have found to be these ultra-soft versions from Wallis, previously seen here). Recently I received one of these Wallis dream cocoons, and I can't get enough of it (outfit post coming soon). I am particularly drawn to this eye-catching blue color paired with (surprise, surprise) a loose pocket tee and leather leggings. Add studded booties, silver jewels and a fringe bag, and I am in heaven. Hope everyone has a great weekend! xoxo P.S. - Follow me on Instagram at MyStyleDiaries! Get the Look!1. Mixed Up Bangles $15 Dear Diary, My friend is pregnant, and she's afraid that she will lose her amazing style as her stomach grows. I keep telling her that she will look great, no matter what, but do you think you could put together a few outfits for a pregnant woman in different situations (work, dinner, date night, etc.)? Thanks so much for your help! - Chanel Dinner:Dear Chanel, I have no doubt that dressing a growing bump can be tricky at best, but if she sticks to easy basics, she can still feel stylish and comfortable in her own skin. Like the Citizens of Humanity skinnies above, so many denim companies are now offering their premium sought-after styles in maternity-friendly versions. By investing in a great pair of maternity denim that she is comfortable wearing, her wardrobe will suddenly have many more options for getting dressed. (For a slightly more affordable pair, check out the great styles available from Topshop.) Paired with an oversized tunic, distressed boots, a contrasting clutch and simple gold jewelry, this look screams style instead of "I'm pregnant, and this is all that fits." For easy weekend options (see below), stock up on leggings, jersey maxi skirts, cozy cardigans and layered knits (a la today's Inspiration, fellow preggo Hilary Duff). For easy workday-wear, she may want to invest in a versatile black maternity pencil skirt and blazer combo, depending on her job. Layer this stretch blazer over a tank, and add loafers, a great handbag and sleek gold accessories for a comfortable and professional look. Hope this helps! xoxo P.S. - For other great (affordable) maternity looks, be sure to check out the chic options available from Target! Get the Look!1.
