Nothing breaks up a long week like a fresh pair of kicks and a bauble or two, so today I'm sharing a couple of Friday Favorites from this week. Sole Society jump-started my fall boot obsession with this little suede pair, and I must say I'm pretty obsessed. (Confession: I immediately ripped them out of the box and stomped around the house in them.) They're the perfect transitional booties, and I plan on rocking them with just about everything in my closet: cutoffs and cuffed skinnies, flirty dresses and even a leather mini (see Wednesday's post). And onto the jewels. It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Gorjana and all of their stackable, mixable, matchable gems, and with their recent site relaunch, I'm an even bigger fan. I'm a sucker for delicate little necklaces like this one, and the studded cuff is such a throw-on-and-go, everyday piece. Have you guys checked out the new site remodel? Guaranteed to get your weekend off to a great start. Happy shopping, and an even happier weekend! xoxo Shop It: Gorjana

Velvet Heart shirt via T.J. Maxx; Banana Republic skirt (old); Sam Edelman heels via T.J. Maxx; Target clutch; Zara collar (on SUPER sale); Forever 21 cuff; Vanessa Mooney ring; Caravelle by Bulova watch Our summer started extra late this year. I mean really, really late. June Gloom lasted well through July and deep into August, and we've had the first great beach weekends over the last few weeks. So while I'm excited for fall fashion, I'm still holding on to summer a bit longer. This little layered skirt is a few seasons old, and although it doesn't make it out of my closet often, I twirl a little and love it every time I put it on. A tucked-in chambray shirt is an easy pre-fall addition, and neutral heels and a bold clutch round out the look. An old favorite Zara collar (which is on super sale right now) provided the finishing touch. Anyone else torn between summer and fall fashion right now?
xoxo For those middle-of-the-week slumps when leaving the house in your pajamas sounds like a reasonable idea, I present to you an easy tee front-tucked into an elastic-waist leather mini. Stick with the laidback vibe with suede ankle booties (loving these from Sole Society), and add a little polish with a bold leather clutch and high-shine gold accessories. The high-low mix creates the perfect model off duty feel. What's your go-to "easy ensemble"? xoxo Get the Look! 1.Ily Couture Holy Swoon Eco-Tee $50 2. Mango Leather Miniskirt $100 3. Wonder leopard cuff (similar); Gorjana gold cuff and ring; Michael Kors watch Because I just can't get enough of easy, slouchy pants lately, I figured two days in a row wouldn't hurt. (Check out yesterday's pair here.) For a shopping trip to San Diego yesterday (can't wait to share the details of the trip on the blog next week), these lightweight jersey pants were a cool and comfy no-brainer. An equally lightweight blouse, knit blazer, and sleek heels dressed up the casual bottoms. Gold jewels (of course) finished off the pre-fall look. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo P.S. - Today is the last day to enter the SOHO Beauty Brush Giveaway! Always more of a dress type of gal, I'm finally (after about two years of living in Orange County) realizing that no matter how warm the day is, the nights get pretty cool. Pants just make sense these days. I first fell for these dressed up bottoms from the LOFT, and more recently, have fallen for the chic sweats-like styles by Wayf. I love the lengthening side stripe on the olive-colored pants above, and the pairing possibilities are seriously endless. For an easy fall transition, a faux leather tee is a great option. To keep the slouchy look from feeling sloppy, statement heels, a structured handbag, and layered jewelry add the perfect finishing touches. Looking for a little more leather inspiration? xoxo P.S. - Only 2 days left to enter the SOHO Beauty Brush Giveaway! H&M jacket, dress, and clutch; Zara heels; Gap necklace (old); Caravelle by Bulova watch; Boera ring When it comes to this year's fall fashion (and any year really), I have a few thousand pieces on my wishlist. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, I've got rent to pay and the blog requires electricity, so my fall wardrobe takes a little more planning and re-planning than a simple "buy, baby, buy" game plan. I've found that the best plan of action for me is to focus on classic "base" pieces and add in bold accessories or extras season by season. The comfy little ivory dress above is making its third appearance on the blog today. I scooped it up at the beginning of summer at H&M for under $30, and I've since found so many ways to wear it. For a trip to Seattle in June (seen here), a denim vest and leopard booties gave it a little something extra, and towards the end of summer (seen here), a neon blazer added a fun pop of color. Going into fall, this tailored jacket ($50) and statement heels ($80) are a couple of the first pieces I'm adding to my wardrobe, and I love how they balance this sweet drop-waist dress. By sticking with transitional and classic pieces and adding in a few trendy finds and accessories each season, my closet is doubled (or tripled in this case), and I feel like I am living "luxe for less". xoxo When it comes to Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, we’ll treat it like new. xoxo P.S. - Don't forget to enter the SOHO Brush Giveaway! Be honest: when's the last time you really washed your makeup brushes? Recently I realized that it had been a little longer than I care to admit, which translates to breakouts and generally just plain gross. It was pretty sweet timing when the folks over at SOHO Beauty offered to send over a full set of makeup brushes, and it's even sweeter that the brushes are really nice. The bristles feel really great on my skin, and the comfy grip is a nice little touch. Plus, I like that the kabuki brush comes with its own little stand. Plus (again), they're all brand spankin' new and squeaky clean. My face can breathe a little better. And now, SOHO is giving one lucky reader the gift of new brushes ($100 value). Just click away below and cross your fingers because trust me, it's pretty nice having some fresh beauty gear. A winner will be announced on Wednesday, September 11th. Good luck! xoxo Shop It: SOHO Brushes Transitioning your wardrobe to fall can be a little tricky when it still feels like the middle of summer, so I like to stick with shorts and short-sleeved tops in fall fabrics. This leather on leather combo in a neutral color palette is easy to pull off and will work its way seamlessly into your wardrobe. (Later, pair the top with skinny jeans, boots, and a jacket, and top off the shorts with cozy sweaters.) Add a pop of color with bold heels and a fun Lucite clutch, and finish the look with stacks of statement jewels. Hope everyone had an amazing Labor Day Weekend! xoxo Get the Look! 1.
