The leather trimmed shoulders and overall sporty vibe of the sweater paired perfectly with a leather fringe mini and lace-up wedges for a Friday night happy hour. The weekend temperatures returned to the high eighties, so it's back to the summer wardrobe for me. It was a fun taste of fall while it lasted. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Considering the whole "I live in Southern California" thing, I probably own a few more bits and pieces of faux fur than I really care to admit. Of all the coats, scarves and shrugs, the easiest furry essential to justify pre-winter (besides a Shirley Temple inspired burgundy faux fur hand-warmer, but we'll get to that later) is a sweet and simple collar-like stole. I love the tan version above paired with a neutral sweater dress and lace-up booties for an easy weekend look. A lavender handbag adds a bit of color, while gold and wooden jewelry pulls the whole shebang together. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend! xoxo Get the Look!1. Mango V-Neck Sweater Dress $40

(Images 1, 2, 3, 4 courtesy of David Lim) (Images 5, 6, 7 courtesy of Henry Pacheco) Last Thursday night I was so excited to host a styling event at H&M along with Lucky Magazine and Rachel of That's Chic, and I'm finally getting around to sharing a few images from the event. I had an amazing time meeting some fabulous readers and helping them out with a few fall styling tips. My entire outfit (minus the shoes) is from (where else?) H&M, and I'm pretty obsessed with the pieces. Because I have a long torso, I love a good dropwaist look, so this embellished-sleeve sweater over a flirty lace skirt fit the bill perfectly. And the necklace, well, no brainer. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the Beverly Center last week (and to everyone following along on Instagram and Twitter), and I hope you guys had as much fun as I did. xoxo P.S. - You can still check out all of the #HMLuckyPicks here! |
