True Religion shirt (c/o); AG boyfriend jeans (c/o); jacket (c/o) T.J.Maxx;, Madewell booties; Ray-Ban sunglasses This leather jacket was such a sweet find at T.J.Maxx recently, and I can't help but throw it on with just about everything. I love how it adds a little something interesting to easy boyfriend jeans and a laidback plaid. Finished with a pair of classic leather booties, this outfit is my ideal weekend wear and a comfortable fall uniform. Which pieces are currently on replay in your wardrobe? Happy Friday, everyone!

I've never been much of a blazer kind of girl, but this year I've completely changed my mind and am borderline obsessed. I picked up this jacket from H&M when it was still way too hot to bring it out, and I'm so glad that I can finally wear it. It works just as well with skinny jeans and a simple top as it does with a neutral mini dress and it definitely adds a bit of interest to an otherwise bland outfit. Sleek heels, a bold clutch, and a few jewels completed the look. Hope everyone is having a great week!
xoxo All clothing and shoes (c/o) T.J.Maxx This week's theme from T.J.Maxx is mixed prints or mixed media, and I decided to go for both. Mixing prints is one of my favorite ways to personalize an outfit, and it's been a staple in the blogging world for a while now. Mixed media clothing is a huge trend for fall and one that I love playing with. It's a fun and sometimes unlikely combination of textures and fabrics, combining casual and glam or hard and soft, like the leather-sleeved jacket above. I picked up this jacket a few weeks ago and knew it would be perfect for today's style challenge. Now I just needed to build my look around it. I headed to T.J.Maxx thinking that I definitely wanted to find a printed dress of some sort and go from there. My plans all changed though when I came across these jeans. They're a favorite brand, and I've actually had my eye on these for a while. They're a thick ponte material, so they have the styling and cut of skinny jeans and feel like your favorite leggings. They fit like a glove, and the second I put them on, I knew they were coming home with me. I tried on a slew of printed blouses and tops and finally narrowed it down to this navy and red print. I love pairing navy with black, and this blouse was just too soft to pass up. It's also a nice contrast paired with the casual jacket. For the final touch, I knew I wanted a dash of leopard, and in luxe calf-hair, you really can't go wrong. They're a designer that I love, and (bonus) they're seriously comfortable. Like, walk all day in New York comfortable. Leopard is one of those classic prints that can be treated as a neutral and worn with pretty much anything in your wardrobe. On my way out, just for good measure, I scooped up a new moisturizer that I've been dying to try at a price that I couldn't pass up. The beauty department at my local T.J.Maxx could be a full Saturday's worth of exploring, and if you go back a week later, there's a whole new selection of brand name finds. Shopping with a specific trend or style challenge in mind makes things fun, and you end up coming home with things that you actually love instead of impulse buys. What fall trend will you challenge yourself with? xoxo Expressing yourself through fashion, and knowing how to put together a great look—at great value, is what being a Maxxinista is all about. At T.J.Maxx you can score the unexpected to make your own personal style statement. Here’s to rockin’ your real deal. Disclosure: Compensation was provided by T.J.Maxx via Glam Media. H&M sweater dress; Urban Outfitters vest; Sole Society booties (c/o); Julie Vos necklace (c/o); Vita Fede bangles; Gorjana rings; Ray-Ban sunglasses This weekend we had that perfectly in-between weather that hangs around for a couple of weeks between summer and fall. It's the ideal time to break out the sweater dresses and pair them with bare legs and ankle booties. (Admittedly, this one's a bit short, so I wear lace shorts under it.) While I'm ready for full-on sweater and scarf season, it's nice to soak up a bit of sunshine and the last few weeks of warm weather. Hope everyone had an amazing weekend!
xoxo True Religion jeans(in black here); Forever 21 blouse; LOFT sweater (sold out, but LOVE this one); Zara heels; bag via T.J.Maxx; Ray-Ban aviator; Jane Basch necklace; Bracelets: Henri Bendel, Gorjana, Michael Kors, C. Wonder (similar); Michael Kors watch; Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Majella After a heatwave of a weekend, we got another little breath of fall this week, and I couldn't wait to pull out these skinnies. Coated denim definitely dresses up your basic blues and gives a leather look that is so key for fall. For a low-key dinner, a simple white blouse, black cardigan, and sleek heels are all you need. Hope everyone is having a fabulous week! xoxo Shop It: Coated Denim Top via No Rest For Bridget; LOFT jeans (c/o); BCBG scarf (c/o); Zara heels; Vita Fede bangles (old); Michael Kors watch; Ray-Ban sunglasses; Louis Vuitton Verona bag This easy peplum top is one of those key summer basics that goes with so many pieces in my closet, so I figured I'd style it three ways over the next three days. For today's look, I paired the top with my go-to skinnies (seriously living in these LOFT jeans lately), a printed scarf, and sleek heels for a dressed-up day to night feel. It's pulled-together without trying too hard, and for a day of errands, comfortable flats are a great alternative. Oh, and you may notice a new accessory. Eric surprised me with a new handbag, completely out of the blue. It is now my first child, and I sleep with it under my pillow every night. Just kidding. But it's a thought. Stay tuned this week for two more ways to style that peplum top in your closet. If you don't have one already, below are a few options, and bonus, most of them are on sale. xoxo Shop the Look: Peplum Tops Usually when I think about a black and white outfit, I think of a dressed-up, crisp look, but I'm loving this bohemian version above. With summer quickly coming to an end, I'm trying to squeeze in a few more days of denim cutoffs, but an oversized wool hat and easy booties make these pre-fall appropriate. An airy blouse adds a feminine touch, and this chain-embellished snakeskin bag makes a serious statement. Finish with easy silver accessories and mirrored sunnies. For a slightly more pulled-together feel, all it takes is a bit of smart layering and eye-catching heels. (This Zara vest has proven to be one of those purchases that goes with half of my closet, and the lace-up heels have been a favorite pair for years.) Tribal-inspired antique gold jewelry and a simple black clutch finish the look. Hope everyone is having a great week!
xoxo LOFT jeans, top, blazer, loafers (all c/o); Beirn bag; Vita Fede ring; Nars Velvet Matte Lipstick in Never Say Never If there's one thing my wardrobe is lacking, it's a few basic, tailored blazers that go with, well, everything. With fall just around the corner, I'm so excited to team up with LOFT for the next few days to show you how to wear one great blazer three different ways. Armed with a key blazer and a gift card, I hit LOFT like a buck-wild kid in a fabulous candy store. (Trust me, it was a nice little Saturday afternoon.) For the first look, I wanted something laidback and easy, perfect for a day of meetings and easily dressed up for night with heels. I figured I'd try on a couple of pairs of jeans and was shocked when EVERY. PAIR. FIT. These slightly distressed skinnies, in particular, have definitely landed in the favorites pile in my closet. They fit like a glove, and the denim is so soft - necessary in my book. (Next up on my list? These surprisingly flattering boyfriends.) The ivory top is cut perfectly for me and is lined to prevent the less-than-desired bra show-through effect. Bold (and super comfortable) loafers added the finishing touch for a look that can take me from day to dinner without hesitation. Oh, and about the blazer: it's a lightweight wool open-cut jacket in a camel color that easily works its way into any wardrobe. Pushed-back sleeves help with the casual vibe. Stay tuned for two more "blazered" LOFT looks that will have you (hopefully) counting down the days until fall. xoxo Disclosure: All LOFT clothing in this post was gifted, but all opinions are my own and 100% honest.
Things have admittedly been a little hectic over here. So hectic, in fact, that I completely forgot to discuss last week's huge news. (And if you haven't already heard, well... Did you fall down and smack your little head on the pavement?) H&M has joined us in 2013 and launched their online store in the US. (And small town America breathes a collective "finally" followed by a slightly more enthusiastic "yahoo!") It's not that I don't live about ten minutes away from not one but two H&M stores, but a girl's gotta have options. During the summer months I pretty much live in their floaty sleeveless blouses, and the denim is surprisingly better than its price tag may lead you to believe. Add a little polish to this otherwise tomboy-ish look with sleek heels and statement jewels. What's in your H&M online shopping cart? xoxo Get the Look! 1. H&M Skinny Low Jeans $30
